Christmas and Birthday Pictures

For the girls birthday's and Christmas we took them to Sears and had their pictures taken. It was an interesting time since neither really wanted to cooperate. All in all I think we got some great pictures.
Haley's birthday was Nov 25 and we had a Lightning McQueen birthday party at Grandma and Grandpa O'Dell's. I still have to get the pictures from my mom so I can post them. Haley got a little wild with the pinata. The new pinata's don't have to be swung at, you just pull the strings and the candy falls out. That, however, takes all the fun out a of pinata for small children. So even after the candy fell out, she hit it with a broom stick, and a wrench.
Amber's 1st birthday was Wed. Dec 12th. We didn't have a party for her, but we did give a her own piece cake to eat. We thought she would get really messy with it, but she really didn't seem to know what to do. I think she liked the feel of the frosting on her fingers. Grandma tried to get her to eat some but I think it was so sweet, she just made a funny face.

New Pictures

Having fun at Haley's school Halloween Party.

A little off there Haley. I think that is the door.

All the big kids at daycare. They are so cute.

Haley took this picture. I don't think she did too bad of a job.

Amber cooking up some trouble.

Morning snuggle time with daddy.
Aren't I pretty. It is picture day. ( I will post the Sears pictures soon.)

Haley visiting Santa at the National Guard Christmas party.
Amber and Daddy. She likes all the velcro on his uniform.

Cookie Time

Just had to post these pictures Sherry took at daycare of Amber eating an Oreo. What a mess:)
They ended up having to change her clothes, because she was so messy. She sure seems to like it!

More pictures

Somehow these pictures didn't upload with the last post. Gotta love my happy girls!

Who doesn't love a pony ride?

Pumpkin Farm

Even with the unseasonably warm weather, I decided to take Haley and Amber to the pumpkin patch. We had lots of fun looking at all the animals; goats, baby pigs, sheep, cows, and even a donkey. They had pony rides, a cow train, and an inflatable haunted house for the kids to walk through. We walked around all the pumpkins, and of course took pictures.

Summer Fun

Wow, this blogging is harder to do than I thought. I guess not the actually blogging just finding the time to do it. A lot has happened in the last month. We went to Grandma and Grandpa LaFave's for the weekend. We were able to visit with aunts and uncles that Earl hasn't seen in years, and some I have never seen. The kids had a great time seeing their cousins again. The following weekend, Labor Day weekend, we went camping with my parents to Indian River. They were going to walk the bridge on Labor Day, but decided against it. I was never going to walk in the first place, not so fond of heights. We also went to Barbeau that weekend to Chuck and Dawn's new house for Jonathan's 5th birthday party. A few days later was the day Haley had been dreading. The first day of school. Actually she did great, she waited for the bus with her friend Madison at daycare, when the bus came she ran up to the bus and climbed in and never looked back. Of course, the battery on my camera died just as the bus was pulling up to the driveway. Great picture of the girls waiting, none of them getting on the bus. Oh well, there is always next year. Oh, I also most forgot, we also had Haley's last soccer game thrown in there somewhere. She was great! The best she played all year. She was running after the ball and not even afraid when other kids were around. She still wasn't happy because she didn't kick a goal, but we are very proud of her. So anyway, I made a slide show to highlight some of the fun things we have done recently. Enjoy!

The Fair

Last Thursday Earl and I took Haley and Amber to the Midland County Fair. We had a lot of fun playing games, looking at animals and riding rides. Well, only Haley rode any rides. She liked them all except the last because it spun around in circles and she didn't like that. The race car ride is for my dad and brother, gotta love #24! hahaha

Horse Ride

We went to an O'Dell Family reunion at my Dad's cousins house and Haley got to ride a horse. Amber just got to sit and have her picture taken. Haley said the horse was too bumpy for Amber to take a ride. Amber did get to pet a soft bunny. Haley just loved riding the horse.

Milwaukee Trip

Haley had a blast went we went to Milwaukee for the weekend. She really didn't care if we went anywhere outside of the hotel pool. Both of the girls did really well with the really long car ride, maybe even better than the adults. We saw Lake Michigan, the Sears tower, some pretty flowers at the horticultural domes, and just had lots of fun. Hope you like the pictures.

The end of a very busy day.

First Post!

This is all new to me so it may take awhile to get it right. These are some pictures that we had taken of the girls in June. Last weekend we went with my parent to Milwaukee. I have some pictures to post, but that will have to wait till after I charge my camera batteries. Next Sunday is Earl's birthday and Amber will turn 8 months old. Time sure does fly by.
